Emily Jones - M.D. Jones

Emily Jones began her writing career by practising the alphabet on her mother's newly papered kitchen walls. She was promptly given a notebook and pen and has since confined her writing to these implements (mostly). With the advent of the computer, she moved into cyberspace, though she still prefers the feel of a smooth ballpoint gliding across the pages of a fresh, crisp notebook.

Perhaps the only English major in history not to have worked on her high school or college newspaper, Emily came to writing through the back door, by way of her editing career. While working as a website editor, she often found herself thinking how she would have approached the piece had she written it. Occasionally, she had the chance to test her theories by rewriting some of the content.

Though still primarily an editor at heart (and by trade), Emily has continued to practise her writing skills on websites, business reports, surveys, and even the occasional newspaper article. She now introduces herself as an editor and a writer.
